What we believe
At Mavericks, our design approach is guided by our belief that healthcare services need to be delivered in the most simple manner possible. The facilities we design are rooted in the idea of simplicity, efficiency, flexibility, contextuality and sensitivity to the myriad needs of the client, patient, staff & the public.
We believe that all healthcare facilities anywhere in the world need to be planned and designed based on ‘lean’ principles. We believe that a well-designed facility optimizes on initial capital investment, long-term running costs, staffing requirements and energy consumption.
Good design enables positive clinical outcomes and enhances patient, staff and family satisfaction. We are of the view that healthcare facility design is not about indulging in architectural exhibitionism. The exterior and interior environment must, of course, be comfortable and pleasing to the senses, thereby supporting the physical and psychological wellbeing of patients and all user groups.
